A Prayer Of Thanks For Intelligence
I thank You O Heavenly Father for giving me the gifts of thought and reason; for it is through these gifts that I have come to know and understand You better. And it is through these gifts that I have been able to discover Your wisdom and greater truths. Let me show my gratitude by always using these precious gifts wisely.
You, my God, are the Author of reason and knowledge. Who then is man to even think that his limited, finite reasoning could ever completely comprehend Your infinite design? At best, even the most brilliant human mind is but a droplet amid Your infinite sea of logic.
Yet, You are not a selfish God and so You have shared a portion of Yourself with each and every one of us. And it is only through this most generous sharing that we, Your children, are able to come to an understanding of Your majesty and our special place in Your creation. For through Your gifts of thought and reason, a vast field of knowledge has opened up before me. And the more knowledge I gain, the more love and respect I have for You the Author of knowledge.
Abba, Father, let me show my appreciation to You by developing my intellectual abilities to their fullest; for I understand, my LORD, that as I gain more understanding of the world around me, I am really gaining more understanding of You.
And so, I thank You, my God, for Your willingness to share this precious part of Yourself with me. May I always be worthy of these divine gifts by glorifying Your holy name and always living my life in a manner that pleases You.

Behold The Tree Of Life
Heavenly Father and Most High LORD, hallowed be Thy name. For it was You Father who planted the Tree of Life to be a rainbow of light in the middle of the Garden of Paradise. And it was this special Tree with its array of beautifully colored fruit that was designed to bestow heavenly nourishment to the first man and woman as well as to all of their children. You gave them this special gift without any cost, instructing them to eat freely from its bounty.
But a warning also came with Your blessing, for also in the midst of the Garden stood the Tree of Good and Evil. And its fruit was also alluring to Your children and pleasing to their eyes, which is why Your enemy was able to cunningly trick them into partaking of its life-draining toxin.
And eating of it, their eyes were open and they knew they were naked - horribly exposed to pain and suffering and death - the consequences of turning from You. In Your Wisdom, lest they pollute Your Holy Ground, take from the Tree of Life and live forever, You banished them from Eden into their self-chosen world of good and evil.
But You are a merciful God - a forgiving God - a just God, and so You have given us all a way back to Your Rainbow Tree of Life and Light. And that gracious gift is Your faithful and loving son Jesus Christ - the Way, the Truth and the Life, the Light of the world, the Savior, the anointed one who came to lead us back into Your Everlasting Garden and to the Tree of Everlasting Life growing in the middle.
Our hope is that through Him and the blood and flesh that He offered for us all, we will once again dwell with You in the Garden of God where we will eat freely from Your most special Tree and live forever.
